The Oriole Advocates History
 

The Oriole Advocates have been involved with Challenger Baseball programs beginning with our affiliation and partnering with The Reisterstown Champions League in 1991.

For more than a decade, they have worked with Challenger Baseball teams throughout the state of Maryland, Southern Pennsylvania and Northern Virginia, serving more than 60 teams and 800 players in leagues of various descriptions and affiliations.

Their Mission:

1. Provide children with mental and/or physical challenges the opportunity to enjoy the experience of playing baseball.
2. Increase awareness of Challenger Programs in order to increase the number of children served by Challenger Programs.
3. Provide opportunities for children from different geographic areas to meet players in similar programs.
4. Provide leaders of Challenger Teams a forum for sharing ideas and create new opportunities between programs.
5. Assist Challenger Teams with support for their programs.
